Part 1, the Inaugural Exhibition at the Cuenca Biennial 2025-26
The global series of exhibitions and convenings Flip It & Reverse It made a triumphant debut as part of the 40th anniversary Bienal de Cuenca in Ecuador from October 2025 to February 2026, welcoming more than 120,000 visitors, garnering critical acclaim (The Art Newspaper, Artishock Magazine, Arte al Límite), and winning the Bienal’s Patricio Muñoz Acquisition Prize for Flip It & Reverse It co-curator-artist Carmen Vicente’s art. Installations by Astrid González (Colombia), Sethembile Msezane (South Africa), and Vicente (Ecuador) addressed memory, ecology, spirituality, and healing.

UPCOMING: Part 2
Building on that momentum from early 2026, our first convening takes place at the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
This four-day convening joins Indigenous leaders, curators, and artists representing North and South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and Europe with the Miami community to share strategies for creative change-making, forge connections, and come away with blueprints for changing hearts, minds, policy, and the world.
